Nobles of Calpheon
Elle Belucci; Elle Belucci, the Calpheon Marketplace Director, is a member of the Belucci family, famous for their extravagance. Despite the fact she can afford to live without a care in the world due to what she’ll inherit someday, she went headfirst into the difficult business world of the market. She has a good reputation for being a proud woman willing to face challenges directly. Elle has the deep trust of the nobles, while Annabella Belucci, her sister lost all her fortune and sells candle holders on Market Street. One can scarcely believe they are of the same family. Zodiac: Elephant.
Dominic Erne; Dominic is the patriarch of the Erne family. Though the Erne family is renowned for their wealth and prestige, they have been quite a dynamic and liberal family for generations. Lately Dominic has jumped into business partnerships with emerging merchants like Enrique Encarotia. He succeeded in arranging a marriage engagement between his son Geoffrey and Enrique’s daughter Isobelle to enable Geoffrey to run the workshop with Enrique. He is a political, straightforward, talkative, and very proud man and is not on friendly terms with the Batian family due to his blunt nature. Zodiac: Hammer.
Milano Belucci; A noblewoman fallen on hard times. She hangs out with the picky Lavientia to maintain her dignity, but is always looked down on by her. She sells fruits on Xian Merchant Guild Street, and tries to justify everything to herself by saying she only sells the finest of fruits. Some nobles quietly titter at her situation, contrasting her with Lavientia, who sells fine fur coats (and as a hobby no less!). Zodiac: Charioteer.
Giovan Grolin; Giovan Grolin, Citizen Representative in the Kalis Parliament. He became accustomed to foreign culture through his experience following his father, an adventurous merchant, to various areas of the desert. After his father passed away from a disease, Giovan developed an interest in medicine, and now he is helping the people of the Slum. Yet, his role in Parliament has been reduced to little more than a public relations stunt to assuage the lower class. Basquean Ljurik, the president of the Bank of Hope, and medical scientist Danielle Stimi support him. Zodiac: Black Dragon.
Enrique Encarotia; The Merchant Representative in the Kalis Parliament. Enrique Encarotia is an emerging merchant who may be the richest man in Calpheon. He is involved in countless businesses, including trade, a workshop, and usury, and is interested in anything that makes a profit. He is a natural merchant with an ability to read the flow of markets that cannot be matched by anyone. He has a somewhat conservative and stern aura, and calculates profit and loss swiftly. He and the Batian family have been at odds from the beginning, given his skepticism regarding Elionism. Zodiac: Charioteer.
Nella Encarotia; The niece of Enrique Encarotia, the leader of the Xian Merchant Guild. Though the Encarotia family doesn’t have an aristocratic heritage, Enrique wants Nella to be taught the sensibilities and ways of the noble class so that she might be accepted as one of them. That’s why he sent Nella to college at great expense. Nella, however, wants to become the greatest merchant in the city, like her uncle. Zodiac: Giant.

Lavientia Batian; Lavientia is Theophil’s wife. She has become the symbol of luxury and vanity in Calpheon, and may in fact be more well-known than her husband. We’d need all day to discuss the best gossip about her. Even Theophil has given up trying to control her lavish spending. She has started making her own things with high quality ingredients and insists that a woman is simply not complete without a fine fur coat. Her latest hobby is selling imported objects. Zodiac: Elephant. Her son, Balker, became an Elionian Priest.
Theophil Batian; The patriarch of the Batians, the family with the deepest roots in all of Calpheon. The Batians have been ardent supporters of Elionism throughout the generations and their influence in the church is significant. He runs a small loan business where he applies high interest rates to aristocrats and low rates to citizens. Having a somewhat wild and stubborn personality, he rarely trusts Humans. Still, once he comes to trust someone, he’ll do so for life. He is a supporter of Giovan Grolin, the Citizen Representative in Kalis. Zodiac: Elephant.
